Vice President Jim Poole and his wife Elaine met the tractor trailer delivering wreaths for the Wreaths Across America ceremony at Kennesaw City Cemetery, which was planned and conducted by the Kennesaw Mountain Chapter, DAR.
The wreaths were stored and staged throughout the cemetery, and the ceremony began at 12:00 noon, followed by volunteers placing wreaths on 140 veterans’ graves.
Participants included representatives from city and county government, the Scouting America, Georgia Tech Air Force and Space Force ROTC and their Silver Wings fraternity, the Georgia Society, Sons of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Georgia Army National Guard, and other lineage organizations.
We were honored to participate in this meaningful act of remembrance and to pause to Remember, Honor, and Teach.
