In conjunction with the Mount Vernon Chapter, Compatriots and guests gathered at Mount Gilead Methodist Church in Woodstock, Georgia, for a special Liberty Tree and Memorial Dedication in honor of Joseph L. Vancura, Jr.

The Liberty Tree, symbolizing the courage and resilience of the American Revolution, was dedicated as part of the United States’ 250th Anniversary of Independence. This solemn and inspiring event included a heartfelt Memorial Dedication by Past President General Larry Guzy.

The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of the memorial marker at the base of the Liberty Tree, a lasting tribute to the legacy of Joseph L. Vancura, Jr. His memory lives on as a reminder of the values and sacrifices that shape our nation.
