On November 16, 2024, compatriots celebrated the rich history of Moultrie, Georgia, with a **Marker Dedication Honoring the Founding of the City, Major General William Moultrie, Revolutionary Patriot, and America 250.
The event, sponsored by the John Benning Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, took place at the Colquitt County Courthouse. Highlights included the Presentation of the Colors by the Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard and a musket salute following the unveiling of the Moultrie Marker.
