The Chapter held its regular monthly meeting on October 21, 2025, at Hudson’s Grill in Kennesaw, with strong attendance from members and guests.

Our featured speaker was Cobb County Commissioner Keli Gambrill, who shared valuable insight into county planning, fiscal responsibility, and her efforts to preserve the character of our local communities through sound land-use policy. Commissioner Gambrill also presented a proclamation from Cobb County recognizing the Captain John Collins Chapter, and received a Certificate of Appreciation and Challenge Coin from Chapter President Jason Shepherd in gratitude for her service and presentation.

During business proceedings, members reviewed updates on officer and committee report procedures, approved the prior month’s minutes, and were reminded to submit their “Blessings of Liberty” entries to Jami Andrew.

The meeting closed with the SAR Recessional and Benediction, led respectively by Lewis Ray and Wayne Brown.

The Chapter will meet again on Tuesday, November 18 — we look forward to seeing everyone there!
