The March chapter meeting brought members and guests together for a rich evening of patriotic fellowship, recognitions, and historical learning.
🔹 Evening Program:
Guest speaker John Thrasher delivered a fascinating presentation on the early Atlanta settlement of Thrasherville, offering a look into Georgia’s past. He was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by President Jason Shepherd and Vice President Jim Poole.
🔹 New Member Induction:
We welcomed Compatriot Thomas Sanford into our ranks—congratulations!

Chris Thompson was recognized as a Benjamin Franklin Subscriber for Friends of the Library.

The chapter received the Patriot Grave Marking Streamer and Gold Star, accepted by Sgt-at-Arms Lewis Ray.
🔹 Liberty Tree Planting (March 15):
A successful event attended by Georgia SAR President Bill Floyd and local leaders, organized by Compatriot John McCaskill.

Our Veterans Committee reported 25,000 Stark Points for 2024—an outstanding achievement!

DAR Liaison Dan King continues strong collaboration with DAR chapters.

JROTC Chairman Tom Harnden is preparing for award presentations at 11 local high schools.

Newsletter Editor Jami Andrew encouraged submissions of Patriot ancestor stories for upcoming editions.

A second historical bench is planned for Acworth as part of our America 250 initiative.
