Our Chapter is proud to share that on July 4, the City of Acworth presented our chapter and the Liberty Hill Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, with an official Proclamation commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
We are grateful to Mayor Tommy Allegood and the Board of Aldermen for honoring the legacy of the Patriots who secured our nation’s independence and for recognizing the work our chapter does to preserve Revolutionary War history and promote the ideals of liberty, independence, and civic service in our community.
This Proclamation is part of the broader America 250 observance taking place across the country as communities mark this historic milestone in our nation’s story.
We look forward to continuing to partner with the City of Acworth, local organizations, and our fellow citizens as we commemorate America’s 250th and share the story of our founding with future generations.
