At the November 18, 2025 meeting of the Captain John Collins Chapter, Georgia Society SAR, Vice President Jim Poole introduced the evening’s guest speaker, Sue VerHoef, Director of Oral History and Genealogy at the Atlanta History Center.

Ms. VerHoef shared insights into her work with oral history, genealogy, and public history initiatives, including collaborative projects that preserve and interpret the experiences of veterans and community members. In appreciation of her presentation, President Jason Shepherd and Vice President Poole presented her with a Certificate of Appreciation and Chapter Challenge Coin.
