The Collins Dispatch received First Place in the Carl Bessett Newsletter Award competition July 2011 and 2013, and Honorable Mention in the SAR multi-sheet newsletter competition in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2015 and 2017.

Only 1st and Honorable Mention are awarded. The newsletter may only compete in alternate years.
